PC Plus 124

Welcome to the new PC Plus interface. This interface has been coded in HTML and compiled using InfoCourier.
Important information about using the interface

This month's disc is absolutely packed with programs for you to try out.

Exclusive! We've got a walkthrough of the new version of Hot Metal Pro, version 3, the HTML editor from Softquad, and the complete free version of Hot Metal 2. This version allows you to save your work and use many of the features, but doesn't have Metal Works - the image editor, and doesn't allow you to upgrade to version 3 for the reduced price offered to registered users of the full version 2 . Hot Metal Pro 3 was the program used to design this new interface.

Exclusive! One highlight is the start of a new series of packages brought to you in conjunction with Component Source, a company certified by Microsoft as an official Solution Provider to supply add-ons for programming languages. This month and every month we'll be bringing you a complete product from their range together with a selection of their latest products. For each of these there will be a demo or evaluation version and the full product is actually held encrypted on this very CD-ROM. If you decide you like the product, you are able to buy the whole product immediately by purchasing an Unlock key from Component Source. This month we have True DBGrid Standard Edition for Visual BASIC 4, which upgrades the DBGrid feature adding powerful features and solving many bugs.

Exclusive! To coincide with our booklet on Multimedia which you should find on the front of this issue of PC Plus, we also have over fifty complete multimedia backdrops taken from the new collection from E M Computergraphic - a company new to the PC, but renowned for quality on other platforms. The backdrops are the first third party product to be approved by Scala for use with their MM100 multimedia package, but can also be used with any authoring package you choose.

The multimedia section has the full introduction to Java section from the new Talk Java to me tutor as well as the regular Rants and Raves from PC Plus. There is also a preview of the Comdex report we are preparing for next issue.
